Old Ale

Black colour with mahogany reflections; dark beige foam that fades away rapidly. Obvious smells of coffee and prune. Coffee all along, dark chocolate, wood, roasted and even burnt. Oily, rich; very nice bitterness. Gorgeous complementary match with gorgonzola on a chestnut and dried fruit bread; and in matching shades with a dark chocolate cake, of course.

Couleur noire à reflets acajou; mousse beige foncé qui fond rapidement. Arômes évidents de café et de pruneau. Le café est présent en permanence; saveurs de chocolat noir, de bois, de grillé et même de brûlé. Huileuse, riche; très belle amertume. Se marie magnifiquement avec un gorgonzola sur un pain aux fruits secs; et pour un accord ton sur ton, un gâteau au chocolat, bien entendu.
